Bloom’s Taxonomy is a great framework for how we should be teaching for better student learning. Gone are the days of memorization; in are the days of critical thinking. I think teachers should refer to the pyramid when designing curricula, lessons, and assessments to ensure that units are designed in a hierarchy of thinking. I listed various elements of my Chanukah curriculum (see Standard #3) as corresponding with the stages of the Taxonomy to demonstrate the deeper process of learning in the sequential unit.
